Synex Information is a high-tech development company specializing in SGML browsing technology. Our flagship product, the market-leading SGML browsing toolkit Synex ViewPort, adds SGML processing and browsing capabilities to any application, across platforms.

The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Enigma since October 29, 1999, and was previously a subsidiary of Inso Corp. from March 12, 1998. Synex Information was founded in 1993, as a result of years of research and development of technology invented at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Prior to Synex ViewPort, the company also developed Explorer and Panorama, sold through SoftQuad.

We put a lot of effort in developing software conforming to international standards and adhering to industrial conventions, such as support for CALS Tables, the SGML Open catalog, and Text Encoding Initiative extended pointers. Our diligence helps you achieve the aims of the standards—true application independence.
